At Veterans, our skating pond is located across the street from The Hill. It has its own parking, so you are close to a quick warm up in your car. No real amenities other than a pond and some ice .
If you find the ice is snow-covered from the latest storm, we ask that you leave the clearing to us.
If you dug a clear spot on your own, the mound of snow you left behind could freeze to the skating surface. We would not be able to remove it without breaking the ice.
We do clear the ice after storms as long as it is safe enough for us to use snow removal equipment (snow blower or pickup with plow).
As this is a natural pond, not a man-made rink, skating is done at your own risk.
